feelings

It's the last term of primary school and I couldn’t wait for high school but there was one thing I had
to overcome before I went to highschool and that was school photos. I was the kid who would always
be sitting at the back of class, the one who is always dodging the objects when it comes to P.E. It was

taking a point view

Should cellphones be banned in schools?
In my opinion I think cellphones should not be banned in schools and here are my reasons…
First of all kids need their cellphones just in case they get into a situation that needs the police than they can call them. If you are late home and need a ride home than you could call your parents to pick you up or even an uber. Having cellphones in school are a big help in our everyday lives eg...
  • Could be used as a calculator
  • A weapon to use if needed
  • A treat for little ones
  • Could play music and work to keep your brain going
  • Search up words you don't probably know
  • Watch the news everyday
  • Calling the cops if needed
Second of all phones can be used as a helping tool at school and outside of school because let's say you are doing a test and you don't know the meaning of a word than you could quickly jump onto your phone and check out what the phone means(some of you guys reading this are probably wondering if it is cheating? Nope it's not I would rather call it using my common sense there's a difference). Another cases you could use your phone for taking photos in places.

the unforgettable memory

The unforgettable memory.


As my grandchildren have dinner, brush their teeth and ready for bed. The story unravels and the journey begins.
Remember to go to the toilet first because this story is going to take you on the ride of your life(toilet flushes).



Back in the days I was a man fighting for my life. 20 years went by and no one could beat me in the arena.
The king heard about me and suited me up and made me a gladiator.
It was tough at first fighting big guys with axes and swords but I went through them faster and faster until I got to the point that the king said “bring out the wild bear” and that was the moment I knew I was gone.
The bear runs at me with all its might and hunger ready to rip my head off withs it razor sharp teeth.
I hear the crowd cheering for my name and I knew I couldn’t give up on them this easily so I swing the rope around and wait till the bear is at least 10 metres.I chuck it around his head like its some lasso competition and get his head nice and hard till he can't run anymore.
The bear is standing in the middle of the arena with a tight rope around his head and I walk upto it like a boss and look it right in the eyes, but this wasn’t ayye vicious creature sent to kill people but a loving heart touching bear living all his life being forced to do things.


Grandchild 1 “just kill it who cares about heart loving whatever” grandchild 2 “no don’t kill it let it live”.
I walk away and say to the king “I am not going to kill the bear for it has not wrong me”the king SMASHES the window and anger fills the room.
Grandchild 1 “is this like that movie what's it called”grandchild 2 “inside out” grandchild 1 “ yeah but the angry looking guy thats what the king is sounding like” good work guys you are listening quite well.
After the king gets all angry and talks with the manager of the people I’m fighting, I see the doors open like if they were putting someone else in the arena. My hand shakes and my body is overrunned by goosebumps.
I pick my sword up, ready for another battle but I know it won’t be the same as the other ones I recently had. So the king coughs and announces who I have to fight. “attention everyone there has been a new fighter and this will be a real challenge, all the way from the ancient egypt it is abar the ll.


My eyes widely open because this ain't some random guy but a real gladiator with red feathers on top on his helmet meaning he is alete.
He takes his helmet of and its my brother bob that was fired from the arena for not following instructions but I guess he is back know and made himself a big boy.
We look each other eye to eye but I could see the fear and doubt in his eyes so I walk up to him and ask why he was put in the arena. He said he was forced to and if he didn’t then his wife and child will die.
So abar swings his sword and hits me but it doesn’t do damage. I grab the rope and chope his legs and swing my sword left to right left to right but when I do this he dodges all of them.
The king said “release the hounds” and when I look back I see three lions with big chains around their necks. Great know there's more competitors might as well bring in the bear or even soldiers and that's what the king did.
I took soldiers and lions out one by one when it was the moment when I was just facing my brother once again. He was fighting like a lion wrestling a deer for its meat I knew he wouldn’t give up.


But I did what had to done so I fought back and now it was called competition.
I dropped my sword and tried to talk sensibly with my brother but all he wanted was to fight, fight and fight.
I went in for the stab and he moved and left a mark on my left leg. That was when I knew he was not who he was back in the days he was braver, fearless and smart.
The crowd was silent and the people smiling was the king and his royalness. My brother said “it's over now just give up” but I was focused on my second strategy.
I ran to him and he ran to me and we both had the sword on either side of our hip and he raised his sword up and I slid under him and he put the sword right through his own heart.
I chucked my sword down and ripped a piece of my clothing of and placed it on his bleeding point. I could not have done anything to stop it but just to slow the bleeding down.
His last words were “tell mommy and daddy I died because of a car crash” and we both started laughing.


Grandchild 2 “ that was so sweet it made me cry” grandchild 1 “ you are such a baby I didn’t even sweat a tear because I am the real gladiator here”.
Don’t jumped to conclusions know. But did u get the theme of this story. Grandchild 2 “is to love your brother or sister to the ends of your days” that is correct good job.
Grandchild 1 “ that means I have to love her” yes and you have to be the bigger brother and help her grandchild 1 “but, but, but” no but’s. Grandchild 1 “I love u big brother” grandchild 2 “I love me too”.
Cough cough “fine I love you too.

what I learnt: is that using a key for the main character is a pretty hard story to write and planning on one thing then changing it to another is pretty hard too.what I enjoyed: was writing a story based on one thing which was a key and put moer ideas around that one idea. what I can improve on is: is trying to fix up my punctuation and making it more sense.

persuasive writing

In my opinion I recommend that people should be allowed to fight, Firstly I would like to say that people should have the right to fight when it is needed Because of the way people start fights. People start fights when they are getting bullied or been said something. So that leads to arguments or just straight fighting. Secondly there would be lots of bullies if fighting wasn’t allowed. When fighting is used people usually use it for defence or just fun fighting. There was a boxer who lost control when a fan said something rude, he lost control because of the way the fan said it and what he said. I don't know why he was in prison, he was standing up for himself.

Fighting is way for people to not get bullied anymore, it's a way that people can defend themselves from bullies. It's also a technique that scare the person trying to fight you. Let's say there were two guys coming to fight u and ure teacher told u to never fight again but the two guys were hitting you. You can’t just stand there and stay stuff like stop it I don’t like it because they are bullies and if you watch bullying movies they never stop bullying. Thirdly people say fighting is bad and a bad habit but what they don’t know is that some people use the technique of fighting to defend themselves. When someone is fighting they are not fighting because the other guy said thank you or please they are fighting for a purpose. The guy probably said something wrong and then the other guy got angry who knows. But people don't only use the technique but they use it for a purpose.

To some people fight because it is a sport like boxing or ufc. They do these sport because of the fun they have of punching and the kicking. Some people might not like ponies and ballerinas but then you see some people might be really into boxing. They might be physical people not emotion people Like joseph parker he is the man well I think he is the man. He didn’t get the world heavyweight title because he didn’t fight when he was younger he would of had a fight maybe two or more times. When I hear joseph parker fighting I see boxing gloves and a question mark. Your wondering why a question mark, the question mark is for the person who joseph parker is going to smash.

 Lastly I would like to say that when I fight trust me you don’t want to fight me because well you don’t. I only fight when there is a purpose to fight. Just like sonny bill he only fights when it is needed. he also fights because he is comfortable fighting. Fighting can lead u to a career if you fight only for good not bad. In my perspective I really think fighting should be allowed at school and outside on school because on the reason people fight.

the unwanted kid

The unwanted kid. There once was a kid who’s name was sione, He was made fun of because he was allergic to macceronie, He woke up and pretended that he was sick, But his mum did not fall for it and warned him with the broomstick, He was at school just doing everything and mucking around, We all of a sudden one of the bullies give him a great pound, When he opens his eyes with a great big shock, He sees bullies around him like a massive sheep flock,

Sione tells the bully leader to take his crew and go away, But he was nodding his head and said you have to pay, They kicked him punched him and pushed him to the ground, And when it was english time he was nowhere to be found, He was trying to stand up near the cross country track, But the memories of his mum and dad kept coming back, The principal found sione dead flat on the floor, And when they were talking the bully said sione was the one that swore, At that moment sione was angry and wanted to give him a big hiding, But he thought to himself “I don’t want the kid to start crying”, Sione was tired of being bullied all his life, Because in the future he wanted the prettiest girl in school to be his wife,

The bell rang and sione knew it was time for round three, And he was finding a good hiding spot behind the big tree, But the bully was playing dumb and was setting up for a fight, And when sione looked behind the tree he was out of sight, The next minute he is holding his jersey against the tree, And sione was yelling please please please let me free, The bully wasn’t listening and was going in for a punch, Sione got out his money and gave him his lunch,

The next afternoon the bullies surrounded sione near the gym, They pulled out scissors and grabbed his hair and was about to give him a trim, Sione really loved his hair it was like panda bears cuddling gold, And when they showed him the mirror he was fully bold, Know this was the bit that sione got angry, He took of his top and ate a bunch of candy, The bully was just staring and started laughing, Sione was betting them up one by one it looked like they were dancing, Know sione's future fiance was standing by the corner, And when he licked his lips and looked away he was getting stronger, The leader of the bullies was ready for a competition, And they started fighting fighting and the bully was close to his submission,

 Sione was shaking because all the girls were watching his big fight, And the bully was becoming scared of sione so he thought he could be polite, But sione showed no mercy and wacked him in the head, He fell on the ground and acted like he was dead, Sione was victorious and won his fight, When he was walking he felt himself have a great big fright, He won with a great smile on his face, And walked around school looking like he owned the place, So that was the story about how sione got stronger, And the bullies will never bully him again or get closer, And in the end he got his girl and that’s what he wanted, And know sione is 64 and that moment is still not forgotten,

My not so rugby game

My not so rugby game.
On saturday the 28th me simon and my brother sanele were in for a ride of a lifetime.
It was 8:00 and the whistle was blown I was given the ball and I ran at one of the guys with a serious face and he moved but I still got tackled from another guy. It was phase 5 and we had to kick the ball so the first five kicked it to the biggest guy(like why the biggest guy why not the small half back)he ran it to me and it was shoulder to shoulder and we collided like two bulls ripping out there hearts. It was solid and guess what he wasn’t the biggest guy now because I was, yeah, I was the king of the hill now.

 Well not exactly I was the second best there was one guy just that one guy that I couldn’t get pass. He was like the hulk but two times bigger, he was like flash but two times slower. This 13 year old boy was like hungry for the ball most times I thought he was alien. It was there ball and they were getting ready to give it to him, my teammate was patting my back and whispered in my ear “you got this fella” but what they didn’t know is that I was peeing my pants. He tapped the ball and ran it straight to me I was holding my ground and he was like 3 or 5 metres away from me and my teammates come at the front on me and take him down for me I was looking at the guy like a boss. He stood up and tried to strangle me (pause) you're probably wondering why he was trying to strangle me well before he stood up I kicked him right in the stomach but not too hard so don't worry and(action)so he stood up tried to strangle me and I just wacked him in the jaw and I got yellow carded like what the heck might as well make it a red card or even a purple card if there is a purple card. I was so angry at the time because it was just one punch he tried to strangle me that's worse, I could of fainted or need my parents isn’t that a smart idea but even if I fainted I would want to faint in a cool way like the actors on movies slowly but fast and then BOOM vanish and the next thing you know is that they are living again.

 Later that afternoon I was puffed and tired and I turn around and it was only half time( at that moment I actually thought I was going to faint) I was running with the ball and my mom was yelling from the sideline so loud that she was standing by herself I was laughing to myself and I managed to drop the ball. It was 37-32 to us and it was one point away from winning the game and we were kicking of to the opponents side and they gave the ball to the best player to kick off guess who the best player was? Yep u got it, it was me your number one star simon uliano youngest player of the all blacks. When I was setting up to kick off I was trying to calculate the wind like moana well she was going to get maui if you have seen it then you will know what I mean well anyways I was measuring the wind and how fast it was going and then the whistle was blown once again and this time I was aiming for the corner where the smallest player of the other team was. I gave the ball a big kick and booted it to the wrong side and it ended up going to the other side on the rugby team.

what I enjoyed: was remembering that day and actual reliving it in my thoughts.
what I learnt: is that writing a holiday recount is not an easy thing.
